There will be a snowshoe outing for juniors and their parents through the deer trails in the tamarack woods north of the Neebing McIntrye Floodway on Island Drive. We will meet in the parking lot, south of the Island Bridge at 1:00 pm on Saturday and wend our way along the deer trails to Lake Superior. We will be looking at the trees, shrubs, bird nests, lichens and possibly some interesting birds. Great horned and snowy owls have been seen in the area as well as numerous crows and friendly chickadees. Duration of the outing will be about 2 hours. Contact Marian Childs 577-1324 or email marianchilds(at)shaw(dot)ca if you are interested.
