Giant tortoises graze in the lush highlands and dinosaur-like marine iguanas sun themselves on black lava rocks along the shores. Tiny penguins and playful sea lions dart through the waters like torpedoes, while magnificent frigate birds patrol the skies. There is no place in the world quite like the Galapagos Islands, rough and rocky isles that are home to wonderfully strange and abundant wildlife. Brian’s experience as a Quest tour leader will allow us share his adventure in remarkable island ecosystems.

Gray Jay
Speaker: Dan Strickland
Canada’s famous Gray Jay, commonly called the Whiskeyjack, is known for its bold and mischievous behaviour, as well as its ability to store food for winter feeding and early breeding. The Gray Jays of Algonquin Provinicial Park though, have been declining as the climate warms. Dan Strickland will share the results of many years of study of this friendly little bird of Canada’s great north woods.
