Drumming Sequence

Click on the image to download a Quicktime movie of one Ruffed Grouse drumming sequence filmed with a digital camera on April 23, 2006 on the shores of Black Bay, Lake Superior. You will hear a loud crash in the middle of the short movie clip, caused by a large stick falling from a Bald Eagle nest very close by. As you will see, neither the grouse nor the photographer flinched, as both were quite aware of the presence of the eagles.
